Federal Govt Admit They Stopped Land Clearing

G'day Agmates:
Unbelievably on the ABC's 7.30 report on Wednesday night Reporter Kerry O'Brien got Treasurer Peter Costello to admit that it was the Liberal/National Party Coalition Government that has STOPPED FARMERS LAND CLEARING.

For the last 10 years farmers in QLD & NSW have believed that the State Labour Governments in QLD & NSW have been the ones responsible for the Vegetation Management Acts that has taken so much land away from farmers without fair & full compensation. No No - not the case.

Mr Costellos admission on national television makes it clear to all that the National Party (Representing Rural Australians) are actually responsible for this terrible injustice foystered upon their own farmer members and supporters.

This is an outrage. How can Nationals leader Mark Vail and deputy Warren Truss and the other Federal National Party Members ever expect their farming voter base to trust them again.

As former NSW Farmers association president Mal Peters has said "its such a shock, its like discovering that your most trusted mate, is no mate at all, he's actually had his hand in your back pocket for years".

The Nationals have sacrificed their own voter base not only without a whimper, but through a huge deception. Up until now the Nationals have been able to blame the stopping of land clearing and resultant hardships caused to farm businesses on the State Labour Governments, the Greens and environmental groups. Not anymore.

If your as outraged at this disgusting deception as Agmates is, call your local National or Liberal Federal MP and ask how he/she could do this to you? We'd like to hear their reply.

Below is an exert of the interview giving you what was said. To read the full transcript of Kerry O'Briens interview with Treasurer Peter Costello from Wednesday nights 7.30 report click here.

PETER COSTELLO: And the point I'm making, Kerry, is if you'd have been carbon trading in 2003 you would have been carbon trading to a Kyoto cap, which we're going to meet anyway. The important thing is that when we're carbon trading beyond Kyoto, that we are trading in a way which is reducing beyond Kyoto, because we're going to meet Kyoto, beyond Kyoto in relation to -

KERRY O'BRIEN: But Kyoto was a generous agreement for Australia, it was actually allowing you to increase your emissions. Do you agree?

PETER COSTELLO: Let me come back to the point that you made earlier, that because we stopped land clearing, somehow that shouldn't be counted. Actually, stopping land clearing was a good thing.

KERRY O'BRIEN: Yes of course. Of course.

PETER COSTELLO: But reducing carbon -

KERRY O'BRIEN: It was the only thing that allowed Australia to claim that it's meeting its targets.

PETER COSTELLO: Yeah well, it's - that's - but this was all designed to stop land clearing and we stopped land clearing, and it's helped us to meet our Kyoto target. If I may say so, Australia actually did something practical. Britain, by the way, meets its Kyoto target because Maggie Thatcher closed the British coal mines. Not because they stopped carbon trading, because Maggie Thatcher, for other economic reasons better - Australia is actually one of those countries that is on track and is on track because it actually did something quite positive, that is, stopped land clearing. Now, I think the important thing -

----------------------------------------------
It is now an indisputable fact that the Liberal & National Party Coalition Government
are responsible for the States Labour Governments introducing the draconian Vegetation Management Legislation in NSW & QLD.
These laws imposed upon Farming families have very little to do with biodiversity and almost everything to do with the executive governments stripping Australian farming families of a valuable asset (carbon credits) for their own gain without just & fair compensation. Thats not on in any democracy in the free world.

This is without doubt the greatest attempted "resumption of citizens property by stealth" ever attempted in this country.

Coming up this week - a history making chapter in this incredible story of power, money and Democratic governments abuse of it's vested powers. Subscribe at the top right hand side to get this breaking news story as it happens. You can't afford to miss it!

Rudd Flags Aussie Future

Would you vote for this guy as the federal Prime Minister when he stands proud and alongside Morris Iemma, so as to give Iemma some credibility. If Rudd considers Iemma a fine example of a State Premier, what sort of a Prime Minister can we expect.

An early window into the Federal Labor mindset and the type of Governance we could expect if they were elected to Federal power.

We can perhaps suffer a bankrupt State under Iemma, but can we afford to return to a Bankrupt country under Rudd and Gillard and hence return to 18 percent interest rates.

THE SAD AUSTRALIAN TAX STORY

In the Commonwealth Budget Estimates for 2006-07, the figures were:

Direct Taxes - $165.3 billion
Indirect Taxes - $31.8 billion
TOTAL - $217.1 billion

This averages out at over $10,000 for every man, woman and child in Ausrralia, (assuming a population of 21 million)

But, under the creative accounting used by the Federal Government, the figures above do NOT include the revenue for the Goods and Services Tax (GST), which raised another $40 billion, adding a further $2,000 to the average per capita tax take, making it an approximate $12,000 per head, or $48,000 for the average father, mother and two children.

But that is not the end of the story! The States also raise their own taxes and imposts; and, of course, your local Council also wants a small contribution if you dare to own any property.

All Federal Income Tax is raised under a Taxation Act which Treasurer Costello was going to simplify, but which is now six times longer than the King James Bible, under an Australian Tax Office which is the approximate size of the Australian Armed Forces. In addition, each and every businessman in Australia is an unpaid tax collector, struggling regularly and for long hours with his BAS (Business Activity Statement) as well as collecting tax for the ATO from any wages he pays to his staff.

So complicated is the whole procedure that every business has to procure and pay for the services of an accountant, to save him from heavy penalties for any error he might otherwise make. If the collection and payment of taxes is a "government-job-creation-scheme", it must be the most brilliant one ever invented!

While extravagant claims are made about Australia's "booming economy" the real figures are somewhat different. Yes, the Federal Government has eliminated its own debt (except for about $100 billion in unfounded liabilities in the form of future superannuation and pensions for politicians and public servants). This has been achieved by selling assets such as banks, airports and telephone companies, previously paid for by the taxpayers. At the very least this should have resulted in regular tax reductions and tax simplification.

DEBT

As Australia's once-legendary manufacturing sector, and its farming sector, have been squeezed, mangled and contracted, Australia's huge mineral resources sector has been allowed to burgeon as the Nation's biggest export-earner by far. It is almost completely foreign-owned. The laziest politicians in the world have been allowed to ride on the back of our legendary mineral wealth, raking in royalties which are never used to lighten the load on other sectors. So, like the U.S., the once self-sufficient Australia lives on imports of consumer goods and, increasingly, food, paid for by our frighteningly huge Foreign Debt (At the end of February, this had reached $512 billion).

Australians on average live from week-to-week by debt. At the end of December 2006, Australia's Credit Card debt alone was just touching $40 billion. Household debt was not far short of a trillion dollars! ($962 billion)

When the Coalition under John Howard came to power in 1996, the ratio of household debt to annual income was 69 per cent. Ten years later it is about 160 per cent. When the Howard Government came in, Australia's Foreign debt was $180 billion. Today it is $512 billion. Is this what is meant by a "booming economy? Some boom!

If current boom conditions give way to any recession - and many are saying this is imminent) ~ Australia will be hit harder than most. The money-lender will be knocking at every door! Even our politicians might be forced ~ heaven preserve us! ~ to curtail their lavish life-styles!

WHAT DO WE DO?

An old Chinese saying says, "When struck by a thunderbolt it is too late to consult the Book of Dates!"

The thunderbolt is perilously close. A few precautionary steps are urgent. The tax-burden must be lifted and simplified if Australia's producing industries are to be revitalized. The Debit Tax is the first simple step in the process ~ SO LONG AS IT REPLACES ALL OTHER TAXES!

Foot in Mouth Disease

The Prime Minister is trying vainly to implement One Nation Policies
in regards to our screwed immigration without getting egg on his
face. A situation he allowed to arise in the first place by letting
his henchmen like Tony Abbot loose to vilify in excess of 1 million
Australian citizens. Regardless, at least there is some action on
this issue and for that we need to applaud the Federal Government,
albeit too little too late, but it is certainly better late than
never. Here's a paper towel to wipe the egg off your face PM, so you
can get on with it.

The Democrats on the other hand are reported as crying that the
proposed changes to our immigration policy and citizenship criteria
will cause minority groups that come here undue hardship. Don't the
members of the Democrats consider that the will of the people is a
necessity in their policy formulation. They are going out the back
door quicker than the Ganges flows to the sea, but still they try to
row up stream.

This far out from the Federal elections and the Democrats start with
a bullet in both feet. Hmmm, maybe that's a good thing, for with
such early an indication who to consider for our X, the democrats
have given many another very sound reason to just bypass them as a contention.

A gathering of our well placed stool pigeons will take place at a covert site and those with a password to the War Room enter your password and collect instructions from page2 of the attack plan area.

Watch this space after the pigeons drop their loads by the bucket full in a short time on those arrogant pollies and the bureaucrats ready in plenty of time for the election.
