To the Citizens of NSW

First let me introduce myself. My Name is Jack Tait and I am a long term resident of this fine state of ours NSW and at present I am the President of the Coastal Rights Association, based in the Eurobodalla Shire of the south coast.
After much deliberation and I might say much prompting by many colleagues and associates, I have thrown my hat into the political ring for the up coming elections on the 24th March 2007. Having done this, I have been inundated with requests to form a group listing for these elections and at this point we have now got 10 other like minded people across this state that wish to throw their hat into the ring for the same reasons.
To enable a group listing on the Legislative Assembly (upper house) ballot paper there is a requirement to have at least 16 Independent aspirants and we are throwing the remaining positions open to those across this state's communities to join the group.
This is not the formulation of a party, but rather the grouping of 16 Independent legislative Assembly (upper house) aspirants under the one group listing. This group is to be considered as a patriotically affiliated group of NSW Independents.
So how does it all work?
For the nitty gritty of the machinations of the legislative Assembly (upper house) ticket, you will have to contact me, but in the first instance, here is the crux of the group.
An aspirant will need to be well respected within their respective communities and obviously have had enough of the dictatorial ruling of our entire state by both nameless bureaucrats and self serving inept politicians.
It would be envisaged that the disadvantaged rural communities will be completely ignored by the recent political boundary changes and given the poor quality political leadership of late, this state of affairs will not only continue, but see the absolute destruction of we, the Australian outlying and rural backbone beyond the contrived metropolitan constituencies. Therefore, an aspirant for the group would be a person that can represent the entire state of NSW as a Senator, but be prepared to make decisions in the Legislative Assembly (upper house) that reflect the will of the people that are being ignored for commercial masterdom as is the case today.
In other words, we the group have had enough of the Greens coercion, Labor and Liberal politicking instead of managing for the people and more importantly, ensuring this state is still here for our children, whilst maintaining a vibrant society for those of today. Timber industries, fishing industries, water management, farming industries, manufacturing and value adding, alternative fuel production, carbon credit trading, health and welfare, are all matters that need addressing at the people level. Most important of all is the dictatorial top heavy bureaucracy bringing about legislation that not only destroys our livelihoods, but also is now stealing our very land in a Gestapo manner.
This is just a taste of the problems and with 16 Independents made up of real Australians bringing to the group the myriad of problems we face, the elected lower house will either deliver sound people accepted policies, or face the wrath of those New South Welshmen who elected us. The two party politics that we have suffered of late must be either modified to provide fair and equitable management for all people in NSW, or they must have their political stranglehold on us, removed once and for all.
The Legislative Assembly (upper house) is the place that Labor and Liberal fear most and this is the reason why they are desperate to have it removed from the politics of NSW if they are able. The Legislative Assembly (upper house) was put in place to keep the bastards honest, but with the Greens hidden socialist agendas and the Democrats destruction once Don Chip disappeared and Janine Haines was done over, the Legislative Assembly (upper house) is another toy for the party boys.
NO LONGER
We are serious and so should every voter of this state be. The last ten years odd of Carr and his minion Iemma, have bankrupted this state so bad that Rudd and Gillard had to prance about offering federal funds to prop up further incompetence. This sham, when they are not even in power and possibly will never be. The lies and deceit of our politicians has no bounds and we the group intend to do a rain dance on their heads in no uncertain terms. Political correctness no longer exists, for it is a tool to deny you all the right to say what you actually mean and hence deny those listening a true picture of the state of affairs.
The city folk are being duped beyond belief and we can't blame them, for the media barons are just as duplicitous as the politicians in their reporting. It is city tax dollars going to corporate handshakes just as it is yours and mine, but each year we see less and less for it. Lets do something and lets do it now. Lets elect a large number of Independents that have a core value, PEOPLE FIRST and Corporate wealth second. Every Independent in the group will have no allegiance to any other member of the group, other than an allegiance to the people of NSW and how they conduct themselves in Parliament once elected will be measured by the people on individual Independent merit.
We can do it and we will do it and once elected, we will work Independently for the state and its citizens, but we will cause change to come to both bureaucracy and politics. The law, the health, the education realms of this state will return to prominence. The rural communities will be returned to significance and every citizen will be equal, whether they be in Bourke, or Turramurra. The funds are there in the millions, but they are squandered on a plethora of junkets and bandits whilst home carers live a life of despair and poverty. Enough is enough.
Let Liberal and Labor fight over the Lower house, for we the people are taking back the Legislative Assembly (upper house). Yes they'll cry populism, it's their favourite word. What populism really is - "is FOR THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE", and by god with the citizens help we will ensure that this is delivered in the future.
It's our State, not theirs, come on board and lets make some serious change now, before it is too late.
Regards
Jack Tait.
