The town of Wangaratta in Victoria, is synonymous of many towns in all States affected by the drought, but the people that reside outside the water reticulation systems of these towns are in dire straits.
The Wangaratta Chronicle Newspaper has published tonight a plea for DONATIONS of water for dozens of their citizens that have been left with their wells and tanks housing only dust and cannot afford to BUY water. Many of these desperate folk are suffering from Cancer, Kidney Failure and some on Palliative care.
The situation has become so bad that the religious orders and emergency help services such as the St Vincent de Paul and the Salvation Army, can not find the reserves of water they urgently seek to help the desperately ill, let alone the desperately needy.
The townspeople of Wangaratta are publicly pleading for anyone with water to spare to urgently come to these people's aid.
Just what the bloody hell are the Howard and Turnbull self-proclaimed messiah's of water problem solving think they are doing. Where is the Bracks/Thwaites and the recently re-elected cabal of misfits that have been given a second opportunity to rape and pillage the Victorian State for their corporate masters?
This is a national disaster well into the making and we now know this from our hundreds of thousands of readers. We don't care if a road tanker costs millions of dollars to load with water and truck to the needy Mr Howard, how dare you ignore the people you serve you bloody upstart - a figure head you are - a leader of the people you bloody well ARE NOT.. MATE!
Mr Bracks, this is your State of Victoria -and God help it - you must appeal to the Prime Minister on public TV to demand that army tankers are on the road and heading to this town immediately and this is not negotiable.
When the people of this Nation have to call upon this new service SOS-NEWS in a desperate attempt to get attention to a disaster generated by government mismanagement that will result in deaths by thirst because they cannot afford to BUY WATER, this Nation's leaders have lost their way.
God delivers water to the land and it's people - so where is it written that God gives governments and corporations the right to take that water and sell it back to the people under political generated taxes and corporate greed?
YOU BASTARDS…. past and present rains unharvested by your mismanagement still top up the Ocean just fine !!!
