On Saturday the NSW South Coastal - "Long Beach Area Improvement Group" - held the annual general meeting.
The community were involved for the first time. - yes some of the (old LBAIG) members turned out to nominate themselves for elected positions,
Expecting the "Status Quo of El Toro Excreta" be sanctioned as at previous AGM's, the rude awakening was released.
What to them (the Radical Greenies) would seem unusual, they NEVER obtained a position even with their proxy votes and those present - a total vote of just 6 (SIX).
To all elected WELL DONE, it is great to see the community behind you with the radical greenies left in the wake of true community concern.
To the radical Green's, being the Hill's, the Baird's, of the area, and let us include Coastwatchers, Friends of Durras, The National Parks Association, and to forget mentioning our entrenched NSW pathetic radical greenie senator, Ms Lee Rhianon, - the little credibility she now has left, yet again take another a battering from facts and people power.
We, the once disregarded, and voters, are far exceeding your miniscule greenie home base and are well aware of your thick skinned dominance that once was your power.
Take note that the REAL COMMUNITY is watching you, and your agenda driven crap has now been made extinct in our area, like your green political ambitions will feel at the next poll.
REVENGE ON THE TELEMARKETER
(1) Three Little Words That Work!!
The three little words: "Hold On, Please..."
Saying this, while putting down your phone and walking off (instead of
hanging-up immediately) would make each telemarketing call so much more
time-consuming that boiler room sales would grind to a halt.
Then when you eventually hear the Telstra's "beep-beep-beep" tone, you
know it's time to go back and hang up your handset, which has efficiently
completed its task.
These three little words will help eliminate telephone soliciting.
(2) Do you ever get those annoying phone calls with no one on the other
end?
This is a telemarketing technique where a machine makes phone calls and
records the time of day when a person answers the phone.
This technique is used to determine the best time of day for a "real"
salesperson to call back and get someone at home.
GREEN GUNNS TO THEIR HEAD
Gunns, the well targeted timber company by Bob Brown and his radical greenies has won the right to start work on a $1.8 billion dollar pulp mill in Tasmania.
Not an admirer of Federal Government Environmental Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, SOS-NEWS must take off our hat to his adjudication on this issue of compliance to suit the environment and the greens, as he approved the project that has been quoted producing a zero damage to the environment.
The ruling has been made and Gunns wish to start the project within weeks, executive chairman John Gay said to the construction on the Tamar Valley mill, but the umpires decision, falling foul of Bob Brown and his radical ratbags lines, having started the threats we all know when they loose to facts as their fiction is dismissed.
The first cab off the rabag rank is a promise to fight as fierce as the historic battle against the Franklin River Dam, which was scrapped in 1983, in which Bob Brown was jailed, yes a politician in parliament JAILED and still allowed to be there.
Here comes the blackmail, "the Australian Greens have vowed not to preference neither major party in Tasmania, after Labor pledged its support for the pulp mill".
Time for the expert academic devotee, pollution reduction expert Dr Mariann Lloyd-Smith has disputed claims the mill is world's best practice, who is an international chemical lawyer and coordinator of the National Toxics Network .. a chemical lawyer? We can see where this is going as the legal vultures circle.
She told Australian ABC radio, Sweden had set the standard, that is world's best practice, that is what we have called for and that is not what Tasmania is getting,'' further claiming the pulp mill is not the world best.
Now enters the fifth columnist, a key opponent and former adviser to Prime Minister John Howard, Geoffrey Cousins, said he hoped to talk the banks out of financing the project.
"No I don't think so, you know the political battle is obviously shifting ground and when you have got both of the major parties holding hands and walking down the aisle together, clearly one has to look to other areas,'' Mr Cousins told ABC Radio.
He said he hoped to have talks with the major banks, such as ANZ, (Gunns has been an ANZ client since 1995) which had policies of not funding projects that had not had proper environmental assessments.
So here we have a bank, that is a private company, telling the Federal Government "they have not conducted a proper assessment" - does this tell you the corporate manipulation process of our government is alive and very well?
Further in a statement, ANZ bank says it is still considering whether to finance the construction of the pulp mill and said it had commissioned an independent technical review of the proposed mill to inform its decision.
Now if you bank with ANZ, and did not know they had this policy to align with the greenies, as they must have a greenie gun at their head in some manner,
like the two major political parties where they use preference votes as bullets, you can shift your accounts to a bank that does not host radical greens -
TOMORROW, which en mass you will divert their attention back to banking overnight.
The greenback is the dollar, and has the ANZ bank's true colour, but if it is threatened in anyway, then the greenback will take 100% preference to the bank over
the green political policies.

FALLOUT FROM THE OWEN REPORT INTO NSW ELECTRICITY
The report of the Owen Inquiry into the NSW electricity industry recommends, inter alia; selling the retail licences of Energy Australia, Integral Energy and Country Energy and the sale or lease of the generators Macquarie Generation, Delta Electricity and Eraring Energy.
The sell-off is ostensibly necessary to ensure that a new base load power station is built in NSW by 2013-14.
What has this to do with Snowy Hydro? Everything, according to an article by columnist Mathew Stevens (Weekend Australian, September 15/16, 2007)
who maintains that "Snowy Hydro must be released from government ownership - and quickly" and his reported comments from Snowy Hydros' Chief Executive,
Terry Charlton (pictured) who "wants approval to get an IPO (Initial Purchase Offer) completed before years end" so that Snowy Hydro can bid for one of the three NSW retail electricity businesses; and that he expects to meet with his three government shareholders this month to urge them to re-embrace plans for a $3 billion IPO of Snowy Hydro. According to Stevens; Charlton also wrote in an internal note that, inter alia;
The NSW electricity privatisation plan is the beginning of the 'museum' scenario for the Snowy Scheme,
This is the own goal vocal nostalgic kick when they contributed to the failed IPO,
Our competitors will become larger, more efficient and more vertically integrated,
Expansion of our retail business would be vital internal protection from our customers needing less of our services,
Those who think the Scheme is best protected by remaining in government hands are seriously misguided and have little understanding of how commercial markets work.
These are all old chestnuts that have been consistently trotted out by Charlton, which have been countered ad nauseam in the past and which are no more relevant today, as an argument for privatisation of Snowy Hydro, than they were last year.
But what of Charlton's contention that as a result of the NSW electricity sell-off, Snowy Hydro's private sector competitors will get bigger and more vertically integrated?
Such an outcome, if it were it to eventuate, should be of considerable concern to all electricity consumers, as the consolidation of the industry through mergers and acquisitions, together with re-integration of the market (generators owning retailers, and vice-versa) corrupts the market model and reduces competitiveness, inevitably leading to higher electricity prices. Any further consolidation and/or re-integration, of an already somewhat corrupted market model, must be vigorously opposed by the ACCC, whether or not the sell-off of the NSW electricity industry proceeds.
Returning to the CEO of Snowy Hydro who has now finally come out and declared that he wants the Snowy Scheme sold - something that he has consistently denied since the failed IPO last year. This raises the question; is Charlton acting alone, on behalf of the Snowy Hydro Board or with the acquiescence of one or more of Snowy Hydros' shareholding ministers? The community deserves an answer.
Also, in light of the Owen Report and the forthcoming federal election, it is incumbent on each of Snowy Hydros' shareholding governments to clearly state to the electorate their policy with respect to the ongoing ownership of Snowy Hydro.

We saw the earth move as Howard, Iemma, and Bracks, charged for cover following that mighty crescendo united voice of the people thundering disapproval to their
arrogance, and total disregard of their masters command - "keep your grubby hands off OUR SNOWY HYDRO"
Not immediately, for dictatorial party room egos require time to activate the "peasants will revolt" alarm, our Prime Minister, the two state premiers, had their "Spin Doctors" insert 24 hour shunt allowing constituent disapproval to filter through the bureaucrats control room.
A change of heart was required for political careers to survive that day, as all flashed before their eyes, as once again united the Liberal and Labor parties were.
Remember how collectively they removed Pauline Hanson from politics to JAIL? They withdrew their dictatorial sale of our snowy hydro to privatisation on the eleventh hour.
The voice of those voters is still here Mr Howard.
A "Public Servant", such as Charlton, who sucks hundreds of thousands of dollars from the public purse in salaries each year, now struts the podium,
projecting a resident dictator, is kindling the "Snowy Hydro Sale", while reflects his arrogance, requires discharge from the public service immediately.
The person is and embarrassment to this nation most certainly to an incumbent government on the eve of an election.
Just who the hell does Charlton think he is?
Mr Howard, I would look to that self-preservation mode you always extract at the right timing, and flick the problem, even if you need to whisper in
Maurice Iemma's ear like you did over the Snowy Hydro Sale.

We know you will be amazed and astounded that former Victorian premier Steve Bracks, who bolted from this highly paid office like a scolded cat, has accepted a job advising KPMG on government affairs.
Further amazement is drawing criticism from the leader of the State Opposition Leader, Ted Baillieu, who quoted the government had awarded KPMG more than 100 contracts and reviews valued at more than $60 million in the past seven years.
"It is quite extraordinary that Mr Bracks is now to be engaged by a private sector corporation under contract to the Victorian government to provide advice on the very critical sectors of government," Mr Baillieu said
Now Bob Carr, another Premier, bolt from the NSW premier office, chose Macquarie Bank, who likewise had millions of buck flowing from the NSW government.
This now suggests two venues for the deposed or deserters from Labor governments around the nation, to cruise in comfort street with their mates
Is there room for Queenslands recently decamped premier Beattie?
The excuse delivered by Bracks, who resigned as premier on July 27, 2007, was "I need more time with my family"
Further insult to the people of Victoria by Bracks is that not only is he employed by KPMG puppet masters, he has also joined the board of insurance giant Jardine Lloyd Thompson Australia, and has been appointed vice-president of the advisory board of AIMS Financial Group plus this former school teacher has also accepted a post as an honorary professorial fellow at the arts faculty of the University of Melbourne and let us not forget - the appointments come a month after Mr Bracks accepted a pro bono job as adviser to East Timor's new PM, Xanana Gusmao.
Family time is important to most, but this greed driven Judas still has the son in trouble, and the real reason for his absconding from office yet to be uncovered, but SOS-NEWS is working on it.
Speaking to the gathered fairies at the bottom of the garden, KPMG national chairman Michael Andrew denied Mr Bracks would give KPMG special access to government secrets.

NSW TV channel 7 proudly had their news compere spread the wonder of climate change as the great cause of sand erosion along the NSW coastline and thereby bringing about the under-mining of buildings constructed on perilously unstable lands.
Further, the story went onto drive home the responsibility of Councils to some how be financially responsible for those poor sods that took the risk of buying, or building on such unstable beachfront lands.
Isn't it amazing how suddenly in this modern world there has to be someone to blame for that which GOD has been responsible for thousands of years.
Where do these dickheads thinks the cliffs and beaches came from, the White Cliff's of Dover were hewn from? Obviously from the legislative stranglehold which Insurance companies have over sovereign governments.
Climate change my arse. The beaches and coast-lines have been constantly eroding since time immoral. Remember the sister collapse in the Great Australian Bight. Who paid for that? You build on the beach and the sand under your house disappears, then too bloody bad. It was a risk you willingly and wittingly took to have your views and closeness to the ocean and if you have so suffered, bloody well suffer in silence, for neither our tax dollars, nor our insurance premiums are going to be your salvation. Simply you lost in a gamble.
But hey! We get the story on main stream media news and we are half way there to indoctrinating the unaffected masses in accepting the manmade climate causing bulldust and hence getting their condolences and support for those few that lost to GOD.

Strange how the incompetent Parks and Government land managers manage to accept that their incompetence at managing such lands and being directly responsible for the holocaustic bushfires is not a responsibility for such calamity, but rather a GOD driven burning act. Yet here there is concern that a real Godly act of coastline manufacturing is suddenly a man made and hence accountable event.
Does this have anything to do with rural folk being politically expedient and only the rich and powerful live on coastal beach-front land worth squillions? Hmmmmmmm!

Global Warming's Trillion-Dollar TurkeyThursday, October 04, 2007
A trillion dollars doesn't buy what it used to - at least when it comes to global warming, according to a new analysis from the Environmental Protection Agency.
Last July, this column reported that the latest global warming bill - the Low Carbon Economy Act of 2007, introduced by Sens. Jeff Bingaman, D-N.M. and Arlen Specter, R-Pa. - would cost taxpayers more than $1 trillion in its first 10 years and untold trillions of dollars in subsequent decades.
This week, the EPA sent its analysis of the bill's impact on climate to Bingaman and Specter. Now we can see what we'd get for our money, and we may as well just build a giant bonfire with the cash and enjoy toasting marshmallows over it.
For reference purposes, the current level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is about 380 parts per million. The EPA estimates that if no action is taken to curb CO2 emissions, the atmospheric concentration of CO2 would be 718 ppm by 2095.
If the Bingaman-Specter bill were implemented, however, the EPA estimates that CO2 levels would be 695 ppm - a whopping reduction of 23 ppm.
The EPA also estimated that if all countries - including China, India, Brazil and other developing nations - curb CO2 emissions, the atmospheric concentration of CO2 would be 491 ppm in 2095, including the above-mentioned 23 ppm reduction from the implementation of the Bingaman-Specter bill.
So it appears that no matter how you slice it, Bingaman-Specter is worth a 23 ppm-reduction in atmospheric CO2 by 2095. But what are the climatic implications of this reduction in terms of global temperature? After all, we are talking about global warming.
Although the EPA didn't pursue its analysis that far, figuring out the implications are readily doable using the assumptions and formulas of the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Under the no-action scenario (718-to-695 ppm), the IPCC formulas indicate that the multi- trillion dollar Bingaman-Specter bill might reduce average global temperature by 0.13 degrees Celsius.
Under the maximum regulation scenario (514-to-491 ppm), Bingaman-Specter might reduce average global temperature by 0.18 degrees Celsius. Actual temperature reductions are likely to be less since these estimates rely on the IPCC's alarmist-friendly assumptions and formulas.
The question, then, becomes this: Is it really worth trillions of taxpayer dollars over 90 years to perhaps reduce global temperatures by 0.13-0.18 degrees Celsius? If you can't answer that question, consider this.
Under the no-action scenario, average global temperature might be 1.2 degrees Celsius higher in 2095 than it is today, once again using conservative IPCC assumptions and formulas. Under the maximum-regulation scenario, average global temperature might be 1.03 degrees Celsius higher than today. (For reference purposes, the estimated total increase in average global temperature for the 20th century was about 0.50 degrees Celsius.)
So what's the difference in mean global temperature between the no-action scenario and the maximum-regulation scenario? Could it be a whopping 0.17 degrees Centigrade? Is that what global warming hysteria is all about?
The Bingaman-Specter bill, then, would cost taxpayers trillions of dollars and produce virtually nothing in terms of temperature outcome. But the pain of Bingaman-Specter doesn't stop with trillions of taxpayer dollars. The heart of the Bingaman-Specter bill is a so-called cap-and-trade system in which CO2 emission limits (caps) would be decreed and certain businesses and other special interest group emitters (such as farmers and states) would be given permits to emit CO2.
Emitters that have extra permits could sell them in the open market to emitters that weren't lucky enough to get free permits and that need permits. Extra permits, as such, are essentially free money.
Proponents of the cap-and-trade scheme - generally speaking, conniving environmentalists who want to appear to be business-friendly and special interest emitters who want to feed at the taxpayer trough - portray it as a "market-based" approach to addressing global warming concerns.
Not only is cap-and-trade not "market-based," highly respected economists, including former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, Arthur Laffer and Harvard University's Greg Mankiw, say cap-and-trade will cause significant economic harm.
In a recent paper sponsored by the Free Enterprise Education Institute, a think tank with which I am affiliated, Laffer said that a cap-and-trade scheme would act as a constraint on the energy supply - much like the 1970s-era Arab oil embargoes and other energy crises. He estimates that cap-and-trade would shrink the U.S. economy by 5.2 percent and reduce family income by $10,800 by 2020.
So the Bingaman-Specter bill not only would waste taxpayer money, but it would harm economic growth and reduce family income - all without affecting global temperature in any sort of meaningful or even detectable way.
Although the EPA acknowledged, "Since the variation in cumulative global greenhouse gas emissions are small under [Bingaman-Specter], the variation in the resulting CO2 concentrations are small," this only hints at the bill's futility.
There can be little doubt as to why the EPA failed to carry through the ultimate implications of the 23 ppm impact of Bingaman-Specter. The agency would have "officially" exposed the bill and global warming alarmism as utterly absurd.

Local Governments are not only taking money under false pretenses (SOS
News 26 Sept) but are lying in their teeth about all rate rises.
Example: The Shire of Mt. Alexander in Central Victoria announced their
rate rise for 2007-08 would be 7%, a rise they claimed was on par with
other similarly-sized shires.
What they failed to inform the ratepayers was that the 7% was calculated
using only one component of the overall rates; they conveniently left
out the massive increase in Garbage Charges, a $50 "one-off" Levy plus
"Municipal Charges".
The local business group and Council watchdog Castlemaine Action placed
a calculator on their web site and invited locals to enter their total
Rates for last year, their total Rates for this year, then calculate the
true Rate rise.
The average Rate increase was in fact 14.1%, i.e. over double that
claimed by Council. The highest increase was reported to be 18.5%!
These rubbery figures are no stranger to virtually all ratepayers
throughout Australia
Given that this Council - by their own admission - states that the
Garbage Charge etc. etc. contribute towards the Rates as a WHOLE (i.e.
the "bottom line" of anyone's Rate Notice") but simultaneously claim
only a 7% Rate increase, one can but wonder why the ACCC or Consumer
Affairs don't come down on them like the proverbial ton of bricks for
false advertising, misleading claims and obtaining monies under false
pretences.
