I was informed by a contributor that my terminology of "SHEEPLE", describing the party faithful voters as insulting, during the NSW and Victorian elections.
As the SHEEPLE vote placed both failed Labor governments back into power, the reality unfolds of extended mismanagement, hospital crisis across NSW like a plague, rampant spending of taxpayer dollars unsurpassed and another 3.5 years to go.
Today we launched the SOS-NEWS publication exposing Visy/Amcor collusion and public ripoff by Australia's only two cardboard monopoly manufacturer/suppliers who have just been handed down a conviction for price fixing. See opposite Ratt Pack story.
Marine park at Batemans Bay seems to have opened the Pandora's box of false science and lies that locked up the NSW south coast area now EXPOSED.

Looney Radicals Arrested In Tasmania
The anti-pulp mill protest on the Batman Bridge in northern Tasmania has ended.
Three protesters this morning climbed the a-frame structure which suppports the bridge. It is nearly 100-metres tall.
Police say they arrested the three this evening and will charge them with trespassing.
Inspector Paul Reynolds says the protesters offered no resistance when police made their arrests.
The bridge is only a short distance from the proposed Gunn Timber Ltd pulp mill.
So now we await the courts gutless judge to dismiss or hand smack these creeps

The common cardboard box breakfast cereal, the beer, along with a million other products arrive at the average household, has seen the two major Australian manufactures in court for price fixing to the tune of around $3.5 billion dollars.
Visy Board and Amcor colluded to conduct price fixing on a massive scale, playing their game of monopoly with thousands of their clients, who now seem destine to present a class action against these mongers of greed.
Like Alan Bond, Christopher Skase and the HIH insurance company, these corporate predators have come undone operating outside the law with the arrogance befitting the likes of American, Al Capone, who likewise flaunted the law, but in a more sinister manner using the gun instead of the pen.
Richard Pratt is chairman of Visy Board, who negotiated a unique agreement with the NSW government, in that his company has the "Visy Facilitation (ACT) of 1997" passed by the Bob Carr Labor parliament which almost gives him "Carte Blanche" to run his pulp paper mills in the Snowy Mountains, harvesting and processing at will, far removed from the Tasmanian Gunns Timber proposed pulp mill under businessman Richard Cousins and Bob Brown attack, not to mention the Greens Eco Terrorist who have cost that company millions of dollars.
Having government bestowed on him "Champion of the Order of Australia" and funding green groups all over the place, you must ask how could this happen to Sir Lancelot PRATT, Champion, of what now seems dishonest dealing on a mega scale.

There are no arguments from any sane person that the earth is in a warming period, but as Martin Durkin's film, "The Great Global Warming Swindle" went to length to succinctly and accurately point out, this warming is mother nature driven, with man made effects being so small that in the scheme of things, it really is not a consideration.
This is not to say that we should not, as the human race, use best practice available in respect to our emissions of many atmospheric pollutants, but it is equally important that the precautionary principle not be used at the incredible expense to providing services to the globes humanity and this is what is happening and going to escalate exponentially if the Al Gores of the world succeed in indoctrinating the naive so as to load the wallets with greenbacks on mythological science.

In his new book The Assault on Reason Al Gore pleads, "We must stop tolerating the rejection and distortion of science. We must insist on an end to the cynical use of pseudo-studies known to be false for the purpose of intentionally clouding the public's ability to discern the truth." Gore repeatedly asks that science and reason displace cynical political
posturing as the central focus of public discourse.
If Gore really means what he writes, he has an opportunity to make a difference by leading by example on the issue of global warming.
A cooperative and productive discussion of global warming must be open and honest regarding the science. Global warming threats ought to be studied and mitigated, and they should not be deliberately exaggerated as a means of building support for a desired political position.
Many of the assertions Gore makes in his movie An Inconvenient Truth have been refuted by science, both before and after he made them. Gore can show sincerity in his plea for scientific honesty by publicly acknowledging where science has rebutted his claims.
For example, Gore claims that Himalayan glaciers are shrinking and global warming is to blame. Yet the September 2006 issue of the American Meteorological Society's Journal of Climate reported, "Glaciers are growing in the Himalayan Mountains, confounding global warming alarmists who recently claimed the glaciers were shrinking and that global warming was to blame."
Gore claims the snowcap atop Africa's Mt. Kilimanjaro is shrinking and that global warming is to blame. Yet according to the November 23, 2003, issue of Nature magazine, "Although it's tempting to blame the ice loss on global warming, researchers think that deforestation of the mountain's foothills is the more likely culprit. Without the forests' humidity,
previously moisture-laden winds blew dry. No longer replenished with water, the ice is evaporating in the strong equatorial sunshine."
Gore claims global warming is causing more tornadoes. Yet the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change stated in February that there has been no scientific link established between global warming and tornadoes.
Gore claims global warming is causing more frequent and severe hurricanes. However, hurricane expert Chris Landsea published a study in May documenting that hurricane activity is no higher now than in decades past. Hurricane expert William Gray reported in April that the number of major hurricanes making landfall on the U.S. Atlantic coast has declined in the past 40 years. Hurricane scientists reported in the April 18 Geophysical
Research Letters that global warming enhances wind shear, which will prevent a significant increase in future hurricane activity.
Gore claims global warming is causing an expansion of African deserts. However, the Sept. 16, 2002, issue of New Scientist reports, "Africa's deserts are in 'spectacular' retreat ... making farming viable again in what were some of the most arid parts of Africa."
Gore argues Greenland is in rapid meltdown, and that this threatens to raise sea levels by 20 feet. But according to a 2005 study in the Journal of Glaciology, "the Greenland ice sheet is thinning at the margins and growing inland, with a small overall mass gain." In late 2006, researchers at the Danish Meteorological Institute reported that the past two decades were the coldest for Greenland since the 1910s.
Gore claims the Antarctic ice sheet is melting because of global warming. Yet in January 2002, Nature magazine reported Antarctica as a whole has been dramatically cooling for decades. More recently, scientists reported in the September 2006 issue of the British journal Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society Series A: Mathematical, Physical, and Engineering Sciences that satellite measurements of the Antarctic ice sheet showed significant growth between 1992 and 2003. And the U.N. Climate Change panel reported in February 2007 that Antarctica is unlikely to lose any ice mass during the remainder of the century.
Each of these cases provides an opportunity for Gore to lead by example in his call for an end to the distortion of science. Will he rise to the occasion? Only time will tell.

The Science of Marine Parks
Dear Editor,
Assistant Environment Minister's (Verity Firth pictured) letter to you (9/10/2007) confirms that the misinformation and distortion of the facts relating to the Batemans Marine Park are driven by the Ministerial level of the NSW Government and not just by scientists or bureaucrats in the Marine Parks Authority.
It is staggering that the NSW Government 'stands by the rigorous scientific and consultative process prior to creating each of the State's six marine parks' when the whole of its Science Paper on this subject is systematically biased and abuses the process of sound science.
To infer that other countries are convinced by the science as used in NSW is mischievous. The Assistant Minister grossly confuses, apparently deliberately, well designed marine protected areas with marine parks as designed and implemented in NSW. The consensus that does exist among scientists relates to the potential benefits of well designed and managed marine protected areas. The Batemans Marine Park is not a marine protected area, let alone a well designed one: even the sanctuary zones are nothing more than poorly designed fishing allocation mechanisms. It offers no protection against the real threats to what the Assistant Minister describes as the 'whole spectrum of marine life'.
The Batemans Marine Park is based on fatally flawed science and it fails even the Marine Parks Authority's own design guidelines. No amount of misrepresentation of the potential benefits that can result from well designed marine protection changes that.
With continuing mismanagement, such as the Batemans Marine Park, it is not surprising the Assistant Minister acknowledges the 'State's rapidly deteriorating coastal ecosystems'.

Home Office: Encryption laws to come into force soon
The section of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (RIPA) that deals with the release of software encryption keys could come into force soon, according to the Home Secretary, Jacqui Smith.
Part III of RIPA 2000 is aimed at fighting terrorism and organised crime by giving the police new powers to decrypt files for use as evidence and force the release of encryption keys. Although the power was included in the legislation five years ago, it has not come into effect yet.
Speaking in a parliamentary debate in the House of Commons yesterday, Smith said that the Government was in the process of reviewing the law and would make a decision shortly.
However, encryption company nCipher argues that changes to the legislation, which were laid before Parliament on 18 June and are due to come into effect on 1 October, should ensure the police only obtain keys as a last resort and therefore, protect the privacy of individuals and businesses that hold sensitive encrypted information.
The original powers in the Act were widely criticised for their intrusive nature and businesses, particularly in the financial services sector, voiced concerns about information security and conflicts with data privacy rights.
The revised code of practice restricts the scope of the police's powers to access encrypted material and introduces additional security provisions for key materials and decrypted data.
"Managing encryption is a complex challenge in itself, but having to disclose keys to a third party under these new powers has the potential to open up major security holes," warns Dr. Nicko van Someren, chief technology officer at nCipher.
Robert Bond, partner at law firm Speechly Bircham LLP, added: "It remains to be seen whether these revisions to RIPA legislation will be enough to prevent some financial institutions moving their headquarters out of the UK, but the revised restrictions on authorities to access keys without good cause and due notice are to be welcomed."

Remember that in the late 1970's - 80's the USA Echelon spy satellite was hosted by New Zealand, Australia and England all without the peoples knowledge and before internet and
document encryptions became available to the general public.

THE ENDANGERED SPECIES BUSINESS
Private land managers across Australia are viewing the endangered species business with increased skepticism. A good excuse to deliver predictions of species extinction to the paying public, while those calling themselves environmentalists and CON-servationists, steal public
and private land under the guise of environmental good of course. Yes ever since many of us have been in kindergarten we have been groomed to accept the dooms day prediction of species extinction.
The farmer, forester and fisherman has been painted the bad guy ogre. While these rural communities set about their daily routine of producing food, caring for the land, forests and water ways, in the dungeons of bureaucracy they are churning out mystical legislation in an attempt to replicate that which the land managers are doing and have been for decades, saving native species on public and private land and public water ways.
Along comes a back-packer calling him, or herself an environmental Salvationist, making unsubstantiated, mythological public claims about exploitation by farmers, foresters or fishermen. The Great Swindle starts. Once in the government ear, the endangered species business becomes not only lucrative with grants, research, captive breeding programs, more land and water grabs being the order of the day, becomes a religion.
With time, private land managers are persuaded to conform to the stupidity of lock it up and feed it to the sharks and wild dogs keep the people out so they are unaware of the facts. Media is spun on the rose coloured world, pretending biodiversity thrives from the chaos theory. No one would dare listen to the pleas of the farmers, foresters, fishermen painted as exploitationists, the true saviours and committed knowledgeable protectors of our native and domestic species. Scientists are commissioned to monitor, map, plan and document the progress of the chaos theory with a modern end result of "climate change". All the while the reality is, that species are being lost through neglect, incompetence and abandonment.
Be aware of the endangered species business this Federal Election. Generational farmers, foresters, fishermen are about the only ones that know how to, or genuinely care about, looking after our environment, including having native species in abundance so they are not endangered. The genuine farmers, foresters and fishermen are the real endangered species businesses biggest enemy, hence the reason why main stream media constantly trots out bad spin against rural Australia. Farmers, foresters and fishermen have stood in the way of unbridled exploitive colonization of this nation. The endangered species business is one of this nation's biggest swindles and growth industries. Starving, butchering and burning our native species while closing our family farms, forests, fisheries, which have before "radical salvation," harbored, protected and nurtured those species, is akin to environmental genocide.
Our small and medium marsupials are disappearing off our rangelands, with most of our rangelands being north of the dog fence from SA, W NSW, SW Qld. Farmers are being denied access to traps, professional dog-men, funding and poisons to deal with wild dogs by those calling themselves environmentalists and conservationist representatives of the endangered species business, frustrating every move for sound ecological control.
South of the dog fence, farmers and foresters have, over the last 150 years, built up native species in abundance, free of wild dogs and harsh fires, in vegetation carefully grazed, logged, cool burnt, and committed weed and pest control. Abundant native species have been confiscated on well-managed land and within 3-4 decades of deprivation and neglect, destroyed. Environmentalists are actively harboring packs of wild dogs in public lands so as to generate an endangered species list, either wittingly, or unwittingly. Regardless the catastrophic environmental result is the same, the demise of species, both flora and fauna.

A weary stockman's wife went to a field day last week seeing some art works of interest, but exorbitantly priced, tried to involve her children in the

Fair enough you might say however the weary stockman's wife asked the officious artwork owner
"if the images of the stockmen and the high country huts they built were stolen"?.
"Were the stockman's images copy right and royalties still owing."?
The officious artwork owner was silenced by the concept of theft of image and commercialisation of the stockmen's ingenuity, ethic of hard work, pioneering
spirit of modern Australia blending the best of disaffected cultures to feed, house, clothe and provide clean water for the people. Care for the wildlife and wildflowers
with pride and sustainable commitment.
Remember the stockman's image has been stolen for open the 2000 Olympics and for compensation the government evicted them from the high country to appease the greens..

Parasites of all walks of life are commercialising the stockman's image and credibility yet what support are stockmen getting to feed the nation for nothing.
Misrepresented publicly claimed our sheep and cattle destroy the wildflowers contaminate the streams and we have no care of the environment.
If they choke out the stockman completely can they commercialise the myth sell the fossil unopposed.
Stockmen in Victoria were told when they were banished from their high country runs "a museum would be built to house the relics" Bloody cheek this nation instead
needs a wax works for treacherous bureaucrats and parasitic officious artwork owners so our nations children know who the predators and feral's are.

Just three selected at randon from the pile of emails received concerning the NSW 85 year olds driving test and restricted areas article published Wednesday.
Following your informative advice regarding the Minister for Roads and Minister for Commerce, Eric Roozendaal's proposed imposition on free movement using
registered roadworthy vehicles within this state 'democracy' by senior citizens, I forwarded an email to the two addresses that were kindly made available.
I have attached for your private information (not disclosed) my 'emotive' complaint and its rapid Herodian * reply.
It seems the writer of this 'nice' reply could be more interested in where the letter came from rather than its message. Identifying a possible scapegoat's paddock is always an enduring form of action and/or a means of using it if this is determined to not be within the realm of possible direct voter action.

Luckily I am a resident of Victoria where Nazism hasn't quite taken off but I expect it will.
Targeting our over 85 y.o. citizens by restricting their driver's licences is nothing short of discrimination and your government should be ashamed
itself for even thinking about it.
If a general practitioner furnishes a medical certificate advising that a patient should not be on the road, so be it regardless of age and circumstances.
In my 33 years as a front line police officer (now retired) I cannot remember one instance where the actions of an over 85 yo. driver has caused an
accident outside of the ordinary. I usually found these people to be courteous, careful drivers who refrained from reckless and stupid driving habits.
For God's sake, leave our senior citizens alone and let them live their lives out with dignity.

what we have now is not working ---it puts unnecessary pressure on over 85 to renew their licence each year with a driving test.
What is proposed will be better, that is annual medical, and if they pass that they will go to limited distance licence unless they need unrestricted,
then they will need to have annual test.
For the vast majority of over 85 this will suite their needs and take away that slug of annual drivers test which places enormous physiological pressure unnecessilary on them
Unfortunately it has not been clearly articulated what was proposed-in fact initially I read it as draconian till I had to deal with 5 oldies who had to currently do their
annual drivers test -quite unnecessilary -they had annual medical and passed therefore they automatically (in my view) could continue to hold a drivers licence.
When I asked them about how far they drove or wanted to drive -just to town -maybe an hours drive but no more -so they were happy for the proposed changes to happen
as it got rid of the current annual driving test.
