So, Koperberg the NSW Government Minister shows his true colours and as they say, a leopard never changes its spots and this is now patently obvious also for Phil the Debus clone. Once Reich master Debus left office for a shot a Peter Garrett's Federal position and passed on all his environmental Gestapo tricks to his bro-inlaw, the scene was set to once again play the rural public, "business as usual."

Not only is Phil the enviro-cop picking off farmers one by one for Reece turner and co starting in the Moree area, but he has the same indoctrinated staffers throwing their spin to the media which if Mr Adams of Timber Communities statement below is anything to go by, is still lies and half truths as his predecessor tossed about.

It will be most interesting to see if our stool pigeons in the Ministers office report that the red cordial index metre is still part of Minister Phil's complexionary emotion as it was when he was ranting away in the Homebush bunker at RFS HQ as Herr Commissioner.

Why anyone ever thought that the environmental experience that Koperberg took to the political arena was anything other than a raised countryside, beggars belief, but regardless, only a few months into the job and this Debus trained puppet of a Iemma Minister, has finally learned to zip up his jack boots.

Private forestry furore in NSW

After a decade of negotiations on a set of rules for the harvest of private native forests in NSW, it appears the timber industry and farmers have been left out of the final stages of the development of a Code of Practice. The State Government, via new Minister for Climate Change, Environment and Water, Phil Koperberg, has forged ahead with controversial legislation, with budgeting now being prepared and the release of the new Code expected within a month.

Allowances under the current legislation have extended private native forestry activity until July 31, by which time the Minister is hopeful "the matter will be resolved".

Timber industry representatives were informed only three weeks ago by Mr Koperburg that a final Code of Practice was being presented to cabinet.

They are furious that they have not had any input into - or indeed even seen - the final proposal.

They claim the Minister has had private consultations with green groups and union representatives, but left the primary production element out of the loop in order to obtain quick consensus.

It appears 71 year old Ruth Downey has been used by State Authorities to deflect the flack from the Hudson land clearing debacle in the Barwon.

A 71 year old lady from the Pilliga area, you know where MP Humphries is the member for Barwon and believes the Veg Act is "Not TOO Bad" was forced to suffer the horrific Guy Fawkes National Park style slaughter of her struggling cattle.

The eye witness reports are, although the 50 cattle, like all stock struggling through a drought, were in poor condition, they were being cared for as best as able in the circumstances and emergency feed to aid these cattle was not only ordered and on the way, but in fact, was delivered the day of the State sanctioned killing spree.

The shooting methodology as reported transgresses all professional shooting skill requirements and obligations, meaning a headshot must be delivered to humanely achieve a quick death.

Yes, the animals were malnourished, as is any animal struggling in a drought and compound that with a sucking calf and the strain on the dam is big, but not insurmountable. This is a husbandry problem that most farmers deal with in such times and not just synonymous to Mrs Downey.

The RSPCA and any official officers involved in this most despicable event need to be the subjects of an open and transparent inquiry that deals with the reasoning, methodology and most important of all the skill competencies that these people took to the blood letting. RSPCA Deputy CEO Steve Coleman is touted as a main player.

The people that ordered this murder to take place must be named and made just as accountable. This Nation sends millions of our tax dollars overseas for foreign aid to the likes of the Sudan to aid humans suffering drought, with much of these funds being syphoned off into the despotic military regimes of the regions of aid. Perhaps we need to send them the RSPCA officers with guns and ammunition to solve the problem as they do in Australia against 70 year old farmers.

The stock that were reported as inhumanely and totally unnecessarily shot, were of a dairy cross variety and any farmer knows that even in good condition these stock show hippy, add in drought and sucking calves and they will look rather haggard to the untrained eye, but still retain the ability to quickly bounce back to health when conditions improve. Conditions we might add that the emergency hay was about to deliver.

The RLPB (Rural Lands Protection Board) were in here as well boots and all. An organisation that would have been taking Ruth's RLPB taxes each term with glee. Instead of helping an old lady across the street, the very organisation that held the power, the wealth, the political will and clout to help, pushed her in front of a passing car. An offer to transport her stock to market as reported would have seen Mrs Downey's farm denuded of livestock and hence she would have been deprived of the ability to live. No wonder she declined such aid, aid that would have forced her to sell out, most likely to some scavenging investment bank for a pittance. Where was unfettered aid in emergency feed?

Wires picks up thousands of starved, mal-treated, burnt and hard pressed animals every year and strives to save their lives at often immense cost, but a 71 year old lady is delivered a crucial, possibly life threatening response to her needs by gun-toting RSPCA/RLPB sanctioned, Police protected, terrorists in the form of a hail of badly aimed bullets.

Where is Koperberg now demanding equality and justice for animals? Most likely head down with his hand over the red cordial index meter trying to stop the juice from blowing out the top, or worse, adding this property into Debus's, Melbourne to Atherton wildlife corridor plan, cheaply, leaving Mrs Downey to look after numerous motherless calves .

It is apparent on the face of it, this is an attempt to deflect public attention and outcry away from the local area, Reece Turner perpetuated, land clearing fiasco that is blowing up in their faces and hence, threatening an old lady with legal action after sending the RSPCA shooting team out for a days sport seems to be an action that they hope will quieten down the vocal Downey supporters.

In the old days, these gun-toting killers would have either been strung up or run out of town tar and feathered. What we need is the names of the officials - all of them, from all departments, or contractors - that perpetrated this callous killing and any photos that are available.

I wonder how long before we see the NPWS, DNR, RSPCA, Wilderness Society people sporting side arms as every day issue?

Not just in NSW either, Western Australia is afflicted with the same nazi death squads. Read below.

At $25,000 for 12 sheep, this farmer should be in the Guinness book of records for stock value at over $2,000 per head. How many sheep does this beleaguered farmer run?

The RSPCA is calling on sheep and cattle producers to put down any livestock which are falling down due to lack of feed or water.

The call comes after a Western Australian livestock producer was fined $25,000 after being charged with six counts of animal cruelty.

The RSPCA says it found some sheep dead in a paddock, while officers were forced to put down another six.

RSPCA prosecutor Robin Moore says all producers have a responsibility to livestock and the drought is not an excuse for mistreatment.

Where do the funds go from these fines and do the perpetrators reap any or all of the murderous booty?

A story depicted in The Land dated June 28th 2007 by Karen Hodge titled, "Dob That shifty Newcomer" has the makings of some dreadful connotations.

We are all fully aware of the necessity for police to gather intelligence about their sectors of authority, but this report about Western Region Police Commander, Steve Bradshaw's call for information from rural communities to inform on newcomers to their respective areas without any just cause, other than the call by the Commander himself, seems to be the instigation of a rural 21 Division from the 60's- 70's . That particular Sydney squad was disbanded and their files on all and sundry were a topic of much concern and media coverage, with the lives of many innocent people having been covertly documented.

To quote the story, "There are people who do move in for the purpose of getting away from the eye of the law and to get under the radar. We need information from the rural community about who these people are." "We need people to tell us that there is a suspicious person who has moved into town to let us do our checks and inquiries."

Nobody is denying that it is every citizen's duty to report suspicious activity that a fair-minded person sees and honestly believes is important enough to report to the police, but to start this Brown Shirt compilation of dossiers on people just because they are new, unknown and may have long hair, or be financially struggling, without just cause other than being new to town, is reason for all of us to be concerned.

A journey starts with the first step and a police state ends with citizen indoctrination of the need to be excessively vigilant and excessively paranoid and in so being, the personal impost upon many honest, but reclusive folk, is unfairly and undemocratically driven home.

Quite simply, with all the new super sleuth legislation since 9/11 that has permeated our entire State Police and national Security Organisations - and this is most considerable indeed - this overt call for the public to start brown shirting on a whim, without real and just cause, is an indication of just how far down the police state ladder we may well have stepped.

No mention of indicators such as, residents having late night comings and goings of many different visitors or vehicles for no apparent reason, unusual smells emanating from the premises perhaps indicative of hydroponics or drug manufacturing, reclusive and aggressive behaviour whilst appearing to have no visible means of support, excessive material value not consistent with premises being resided in, stock moving into and out of property which is out of character with the properties capability and capacity, premises lived in continuously but windows always showing closed blinds and possible boarding, perhaps lights on unusually and continuously, unusual electronic installations for the area, electrical meter readers being aware of excessive and unusual usage, school age children that do not attend school.

All or any of this could be quite normal and justifiable, or conversely could be abnormal and a reason for concern, but at least it is some sort of indicator for people to look out for, other than just the call, "to Brown Shirt".

Should we say, "God save the queen, for nothing is going to save this Nation" - except we the people.

Commander Bradshaw, you may well not have written this story, but you are certainly responsible for the impression that will be left on most people reading it.

As a professional officer, we believe that it is cognizant upon yourself to readdress this situation forthwith publicly, for there are many fine, hard working officers in the police force (service) with most on, or in the front line, and this story does nothing to endear them to the general rural public, with this type of policing being most unfair for those officers.
